Principal Design Methodology Engineer

As a key member of the Systems Development team in Arm Solutions Engineering, you will play a crucial role in developing compute subsystem (CSS) products and SoCs for various market segments, including Client, Infra, IoT, and Automotive.
The team utilizes the latest IP products from Arm and selected 3rd party vendors, with members located across multiple sites, including the UK, France, US, and Hungary.
Responsibilities:As a member of the Front End CAD team, you will be responsible for:
- Developing, standardizing, and maintaining internal engineering flows that enable system design activities within the System Development team.
- Collaborating with Engineering Directors and Technical Leads to build and agree on a common set of requirements, resulting in a roadmap of design-related flow development.
- Designing and implementing flows that include lint, cdc/rdc, sdc, and advancements in machine-readable specifications to aid automation of best practices within SE, enabling the design community to achieve optimal results.
- Collecting and analyzing design metrics and working with tools from multiple EDA vendors.
- Comprehensive knowledge of all aspects of the EDA flow used for SoC hardware development.
- Strong skills in scripting languages such as Python, Perl, and PHP, as well as flows used for version control like SVN, Git, and Gerrit.
- Knowledge of machine-readable specifications, continuous integration, and continuous delivery.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Team and people management, with a proven track record of working with global teams.
- Experience with High-Level Synthesis (HLS).
- Knowledge of functional safety standards, including ISO 26262.
- Experience working on global IP and SoC development projects.
