Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Registered Manager in overseeing the care team, ensuring high standards of care are consistently delivered.
  • Client care planning and risk assessments: oversee and participate in the development and review of care plans, and assessments, ensuring they are person-centred and tailored to individual needs.
  • Team leadership and supervision: mentor and develop staff, conduct supervisions, appraisals, and support the recruitment of new care staff.
  • Quality assurance and compliance: ensure compliance with all CQC regulations and internal quality standards, contributing to audits, incident reviews, and improvements in service delivery.
  • Liaising with stakeholders: build and maintain positive relationships with clients, their families, health professionals, and local authorities to ensure the best outcomes for those we support.
Requirements
  • Experience: ideally 2 years of experience in a similar role within the homecare or healthcare sector, preferably with supervisory responsibilities.
  • Qualifications: a minimum Level 3 NVQ in Health & Social Care (or equivalent); Level 5 in Leadership and Management is desirable.
  • Knowledge: a strong understanding of CQC regulations and compliance requirements within homecare services.
  • Leadership skills: a natural leader with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of motivating and developing a team.
  • Organisational skills: strong time management and problem-solving abilities to ensure efficient operations and high standards of care.
  • Commitment to quality care: a passion for delivering excellent care and promoting the dignity, independence, and well-being of service users.
