SEN Teaching Assistant Role

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at GSL Education. As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with special educational needs across various year groups.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide individualized support to students with special educational needs, promoting their social, emotional, and communication skills.
  • Collaborate with teachers to develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and behavior management strategies.
  • Assist in adapting and differentiating lesson materials to meet the needs of SEN students.
  • Monitor and record students' progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents.
  • Contribute to creating a safe and inclusive learning environment for all students.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience working with SEN students or in a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of various special educational needs, including autism, ADHD, and learning difficulties.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Genuine passion for supporting the educational and emotional development of children.
  • Relevant qualifications in childcare or education are desirable.
