Job Title: Electrical Engineering Leadership Role

Job Description:

  • Provide day-to-day support to the Senior Engineering Manager - Systems Engineering and Integration, deputising where required.
  • Lead and govern Requirements Decomposition, System Design, Development, Implementation, and Integration.
  • Support the System Team in maturing delivery strategies in context of Whole Boat.
  • Review and accept deliverables from the System Team and transversals.
  • Develop and implement compliance against all requirements.
  • Chair relevant workshops and working groups.
  • Liaise with internal and external customers to foster collaborative relationships and ensure requirements are adequately articulated, understood, and met.
  • Collaborate with BAE Systems' supply chain department and partners to ensure a fit-for-purpose solution.

Your Skills and Experience:

  • BEng (Hons) / MEng or equivalent in a STEM subject.
  • CEng (or be able to satisfy requirements).
  • Demonstrable experience of engineering lifecycle, ideally within final design phase and later phases.
  • Test and validation plans.
  • Experience with System design verification, e.g., calculations, modelling, analysis.
  • Awareness of aircraft best practices ARP4754A, DO178, DO254 or equivalent.

About the Role:

You will be providing leadership and governance oversight of platform control and instrumentation systems. You will manage team leads and develop competency and skills of C&I personnel. We offer relocation support packages across Submarines roles, subject to eligibility criteria.

Salary: £80,000 - £110,000 per annum, depending on experience.
