About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our team working on the A47 Highways Project near Tuddenham. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to a major infrastructure project that will enhance connectivity and improve safety for road users.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Preparing and maintaining accurate cost estimates, budgets, and tender documents.
  • Managing and negotiating contracts with sub-contractors and suppliers.
  • Monitoring project costs and identifying potential cost overruns.
  • Implementing effective cost control measures.
  • Preparing and analyzing cost reports and providing regular updates to the project team and stakeholders.
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant contractual and legal requirements.
  • Assisting with the measurement and valuation of works.
About You:

Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor on highways or infrastructure projects. Strong understanding of highway construction principles and practices. Excellent commercial acumen and negotiation skills. Proficient in cost management software and tools (e.g., CostX, Asite). Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. A relevant degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field. Membership of a relevant professional body (e.g. RICS) is desirable.
