About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate Child Protection Specialist to join our Children in Care Team, working closely with families and young people in need of support. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in achieving permanence for children and young people who become Looked After, ensuring they are in a safe and secure home environment that meets their needs.

Our Team's Aim

We strive to promote the educational, physical, and mental health of Looked After children and young people, empowering them to reach their full potential. Our team works collaboratively with partners to ensure a seamless service delivery, providing support and guidance to families and young people at every stage of their development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work closely with families and young people to assess their needs and develop tailored support plans.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of strategies to promote the educational, physical, and mental health of Looked After children and young people.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and partners to ensure a coordinated service delivery, providing support and guidance to families and young people at every stage of their development.
  • Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge, ensuring you remain up-to-date with best practices in child protection and wellbeing.

About You

We are looking for a confident and dynamic Child Protection Specialist who is passionate about making a positive difference in the lives of families and young people. You will have a strong commitment to safeguarding and promoting the wellbeing of children and vulnerable adults, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. As a qualified Social Worker with a Social Work England registration, you will have the ability to work from a variety of locations and travel countywide independently.
