Dietitian Opportunities in Multidisciplinary Community Care

An exciting opportunity has emerged for a skilled dietitian to join the Central London Community Health Trust team, located at Alexander Avenue in Harrow. Our comprehensive community team offers extensive clinic services to Harrow GP practices and operates specialized nutrition support clinics. This role involves working with patients who require home enteral nutrition in their homes, as well as in nursing and residential homes.
Main Duties of the Job- This position involves working with patients who require home enteral nutrition in their homes, as well as in nursing and residential homes.
- You will gain experience across various clinical areas, including stroke rehabilitation, neurological conditions such as motor neuron disease (MND), and learning or physical disabilities.
You will collaborate with our Band 7 Specialist Home Enteral Nutrition Lead and have regular interaction with members of the multidisciplinary team, including GP practices, hospital dietitians, pharmacists, and community-based teams such as speech and language therapy and district nursing. This role also includes participation in a weekly general GP clinic, involving a wide range of conditions such as diabetes, weight management, coronary heart disease prevention, and oral nutrition support.
As part of a wider community team of seven dietitians, you will engage in projects and resource development, as well as continuing professional development (CPD) activities. We can offer you:

RequirementsEssential Qualifications- 4 year Degree in Dietetics or Equivalent
- Current State Registration with the HCPC
- Clinical experience, following graduation, with a broad range of patients across a variety of clinical settings
- Sound Clinical knowledge, especially in nutritional support
- Knowledge of troubleshooting problems associated with enteral feeding
The salary for this position is £45,000 - £55,000 per annum.
