Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated software engineer with broad experience in compilers and software performance to join our established team working on commercial and open-source toolchains for Arm devices.

As a key member of our team, you will collaborate with colleagues across the company to develop high-quality, reliable toolchain improvements for Arm's partners. Your work will cover various aspects of our tools, including compilers, linkers, and libraries, with a focus on optimisation for performance or code size.

Our team has contributed many changes to the open-source LLVM project, and we are looking for someone who can contribute to this effort and help us expand support of the Arm architecture and Arm IP.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver production-quality software improvements for Arm's toolchains.
  • Work with other groups in Arm to expand support of the Arm architecture and Arm IP.
  • Contribute to open-source LLVM and related projects.
Requirements
  • Excellent programming skills in C/C++.
  • Experience developing, testing, delivering, and maintaining production-quality software in a commercial environment.
  • Dedicated and flexible, with a strong ability to learn new skills and apply them across multiple types of work.
Nice to Have
  • Understanding of the purpose and structure of compilers, assemblers, and linkers.
  • Experience contributing to an open-source project and working with an open-source community.
  • Interest in software performance and optimisation.
  • Experience developing in a Linux environment.
  • Experience handling direct technical contact with customers and collaborators.
