Job Title: Senior Specialist Dietitian

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Specialist Dietitian to join our team at NELFT NHS Foundation Trust. As a Senior Specialist Dietitian, you will play a key role in providing expert dietetic advice and support to individuals with eating disorders, working closely with our multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality care.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join our innovative SET CAMHS Eating Disorder Service, where you will work with a dedicated team to provide evidence-based dietetic support to children and young people with eating disorders. You will be responsible for assessing, implementing, monitoring, and evaluating dietetic programs of care, ensuring that dietary recommendations are communicated effectively to all members of the team and incorporated into the service user's overall package of care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Working closely with the multidisciplinary team to assess, implement, monitor, and evaluate dietetic programs of care for service users with eating disorders.
  • Ensuring that dietary recommendations are communicated effectively to all members of the team and incorporated into the service user's overall package of care.
  • Attending weekly MDT meetings to provide expert advice to clinicians regarding the progression of nutrition support, which is evidence-based.
  • Maintaining professional standards through ongoing continuing professional development, audit, and evaluation in accordance with the Health and Care Professions Council Standards and Trust Policies and Procedures.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • Relevant clinical experience in CAMHS Eating Disorders.
  • Registered or eligible to register with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
  • A minimum of 2 years post-registration experience in Dietetics.
  • Proven leadership skills.
What We Offer

We offer a range of benefits, including:

  • A long-standing and award-winning approach to equality and diversity, with supportive networks for ethnic minority staff, staff with disabilities or long-term/chronic conditions, and LGBT staff.
  • A commitment to supporting colleagues to achieve a work-life balance, through flexible working opportunities and our efforts to support our working parents and carers.
  • Proactive health and wellbeing support, including access to our employee assistance program, staff psychological support, individual wellbeing conversations, and a network of health and wellbeing ambassadors.

We are a flexible working-friendly organization, and we want to ensure that you can work in a way that is best for us and for our patients, and for you. Speak to us about how we might be able to accommodate a flexible working arrangement, whether that's a job share, part-time hours, or another flexible pattern.
