Job Title: Governance and Compliance Manager

We are seeking an experienced Governance and Compliance Manager to join our team at Calibre Candidates. As a key member of our organization, you will play a crucial role in implementing and maintaining our governance framework, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and leading a team of Governance Officers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement governance policies and procedures aligned with our organizational values
  • Manage a policy review schedule to ensure timely approvals and updates
  • Support the drafting, formatting, and reviewing of documentation for submission to Board Committees
  • Advise on governance and compliance best practices, including legal matters for the Board and Local Authority
  • Lead a team that supports local governance, including development of statutory policies and website updates
  • Assist in meeting planning, minute taking, and action tracking
  • Ensure accurate governance records, including the register of business interests
  • Lead recruitment and succession planning for relevant staff
  • Support compliance audits and assist in wider meetings as required
Requirements:
  • Knowledge of educational governance procedures, law, and regulations
  • Experience in managing a team
  • Proven experience working in education and governance
  • Degree-level educated, ideally
