Job Description

We are seeking a highly experienced Energy Transition Strategy Consultant to join our team at PA Consulting. As a key member of our Energy and Utilities practice, you will play a crucial role in supporting our clients in the energy transition space.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in energy transition technologies, including solar, wind, hydrogen, and energy storage. You will have a proven track record of delivering complex projects and a deep understanding of the energy market.

As a Managing Consultant, you will be responsible for building and developing your own pipeline of projects, delivering projects in your area of expertise, and contributing to the development and growth of PA's activities in the energy and utilities sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop commercially viable consulting market offerings and work with PA teams to refine existing offerings.
  • Work with PA's Go-To-Market and other specialist teams to develop propositions, develop existing client accounts, and build new accounts.
  • Lead and deliver large-scale and complex projects.
  • Work within mixed consulting and client teams, planning, managing, and delivering work, and working productively in demanding, deadline-driven situations.

Requirements:

  • At least 8-10 years of applicable work experience in a corporate, government, start-up, or scale-up environment, or as a consultant.
  • A technical or economic background or strong technical or economic competencies.
  • Passion for the opportunities and challenges in the Energy Transition space.
  • A network within the energy space and demonstrated ability to develop strategic client relationships.
  • Strong leadership skills and ability to mobilise, inspire, and manage teams.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
