Senior Scientist Opportunity in Mammalian Cell Biology

We are seeking an experienced cell biologist with extensive knowledge of mammalian cell cycle, metabolism, and signaling pathways to join our team of experts in Cell Culture Media Development as a Lead Scientist. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to the development of cell culture media projects in a multidisciplinary and dynamic team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Head of Media R&D to plan and prioritize tasks and assignments in a work program.
  • Develop and maintain subject matter expertise in cell line development and support project teams.
  • Lead and execute projects on mammalian cell line development, ensuring quality and regulatory aspects are fulfilled.
  • Analyze experimental data and write technical reports.
  • Ensure studies are scientifically sound and aligned with current regulatory guidance and expectations.
  • Contribute scientific expertise and propose new ideas and product concepts targeting the research market.
  • Ensure compliance with GLP and EHS regulations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Key Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Biotechnology, Biochemistry, or a related field (Master's degree desirable).
  • Technical background in mammalian cell line development and experience with basic cell biology techniques.
  • Knowledge of CHO cell biology, cell cycle regulation, and CHO cell metabolism is highly desirable.
  • Experience with high-throughput small-scale bioreactors is advantageous.
  • Good understanding of upstream processes, including fed-batch and perfusion cultures.
  • Knowledgeable of current best practices for developing cell culture media.
  • Strong interpersonal, presentation, time management, organizational, and written/oral communication skills are highly desirable.
  • Previous experience working in cross-matrixed/functional teams and ability to work on complex projects effectively and collaboratively is an asset.
  • Ability to successfully complete complex projects will be viewed favorably.
  • Inventiveness, enthusiasm, motivation, and problem-solving skills to develop new technical capabilities and solve challenging problems are assets.
