About the Role

The Nigel Wright Group is seeking an experienced Maintenance Team Leader to join their team in the Food Industry. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled professional to take on a leadership role and contribute to the success of the company.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure equipment is set up and ready for production, with a focus on maintaining high levels of productivity and efficiency.
  • Monitor and review Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to drive delivery and cost savings.
  • Develop and implement consistent reporting procedures for all maintenance activities, including breakdown repairs.
  • Target the completion of 100% of Preventive Maintenance (PM) tasks, using proactive planning to minimize downtime.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and food hygiene standards.
  • Collaborate with the production team to implement initiatives that reduce waste and improve overall efficiency.
  • Provide engineering support for PLCs, HMI Scada controlled systems, and other equipment.
  • Allocate workload and tasks to other Multi-Skilled Engineers on shift, ensuring effective resource management.
  • Liaise with Shift Managers, Product Leads, and other stakeholders to proactively address production issues and optimize the production plan.

Requirements

  • Completed Apprenticeship with a NVQ L3 or above in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with all stakeholders.
  • Desirable: experience in the FMCG industry.
