About the Role

Apollo Home Healthcare is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Healthcare Assistant to join our team in providing high-quality care to a teenage boy with complex care needs in his family home in Loughborough.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide 1:1 care and support to the service user throughout the night, promoting a restful environment and ensuring his needs are met in a timely manner.
  • Offer comfort and reassurance when needed, and provide close supervision and observations due to his respiratory needs.
  • Carry out careful repositioning when needed, tend to his clinical interventions, and ensure his right to privacy and dignity is maintained.
  • Work collaboratively with the family and other healthcare professionals to ensure the service user receives the best possible care.

Requirements

  • 3 months previous care experience, including medication administration, personal care, and moving and handling.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible approach to shift work.
  • Comfortable working with animals, as there is a family dog in the property.
