About the Role

Apollo Home Healthcare is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Healthcare Assistant to join our team in providing high-quality care to a teenage boy with complex care needs in his family home in Loughborough.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide 1:1 care and support to the service user throughout the night, including personal care, medication administration, and respiratory care.
  • Offer comfort and reassurance when needed, promote a restful environment, and provide close supervision and observations due to the service user's respiratory needs.
  • Carry out careful repositioning when needed, tend to the service user's clinical interventions, and ensure that their needs are met in a timely manner.
  • Work collaboratively with the service user's family and other healthcare professionals to ensure a seamless and high-quality care experience.

Requirements

  • 3 months previous care experience, including medication administration, personal care, and moving and handling.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on providing person-centered care.
  • Comfortable working with animals, as there is a family dog in the property.
  • Availability to work part-time nights, with shifts available from 10pm-7:30am or 10pm-8am, and 2-3 shifts per week.
