Job Summary

The Somerset NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to support the management of acute research trials and research staff in all areas of data management.

This exciting opportunity will provide administrative and data support to the Research Nurses, ensuring that clinical trials and studies are set up and approved in a timely manner.

Key responsibilities include providing valuable support to the Research Nurses with their data and paperwork, as well as offering administrative assistance to the research team.

An in-depth induction and training period will be provided, and some clinical, admin, and NHS research experience would be an advantage but not essential.

The ideal candidate will have a good standard of education, including English, Mathematics, and a science GCSE, as well as a computer qualification or ability to demonstrate a high standard of proficiency in MS Office and electronic file management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative and data support to the Research Nurses
  • Manage data and paperwork for clinical trials and studies
  • Offer administrative assistance to the research team
  • Support the Research Nurses with data collection and reporting

Person Specification

  • Good standard of education: English, Mathematics, and a science GCSE
  • Computer qualification or ability to demonstrate a high standard of proficiency in MS Office and electronic file management
  • Experience of working in the NHS or similar organization
  • Experience of dealing with patients or the public
