Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced educator to join our team as a Multi-Skills Lecturer. As a key member of our faculty, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction and assessment to students in the construction trades.
Key Responsibilities:
- Course Development: Plan, prepare, and develop schemes of work, session plans, teaching and learning resources, and learning and assessment plans for introduction to construction courses.
- Teaching and Assessment: Deliver and assess essential knowledge and understanding to learners, using a wide range of teaching methods and resources.
- Student Support: Assess student work, provide constructive and timely feedback, and record learners' progress to ensure successful outcomes.
- Quality Assurance: Carry out internal verification duties in line with quality assurance processes to maintain high standards of education.
Requirements:
- Qualifications: Teaching qualification (AET, PTLLS, PGCE, or Certificate in Education) and a Level 3 or equivalent qualification in the teaching subject area (Bricklaying, Carpentry, Joinery, or Painting and Decorating).
- Experience: Experience of classroom-based delivery and interacting with 16-19-year-olds in education or apprentice settings.
- Skills: Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills, with the ability to manage challenging behavior.
- DBS Check: Current Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for one through Reed Compliance.
