Customs Compliance Specialist:
Caterpillar Financial Services Corporation seeks a highly motivated Customs Compliance Specialist to join their team. As a key member of the customs compliance team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that all customs compliance activity is managed effectively to prevent potential penalties.

The successful candidate will have a degree in a comparative business related discipline or extensive relative experience with ability to demonstrate practical standard of competence in customs compliance. You will be responsible for controlling the ongoing management of customs compliance activity to ensure Caterpillar prime and aftermarket product continuously moves both domestically and across international borders with adherence to regulatory and legislative requirements.

This is an exciting opportunity to work with a dynamic team and contribute towards the development, testing and implementation of new and existing reporting procedures, work processes and business metrics, for ongoing compliance with UK and EU legislation to mitigate potential penalties. The ideal candidate will have international trade knowledge, analytical thinking skills, and experience of SAP order to cash, procure to pay and record to report cycles.

Responsibilities:
- Control the ongoing management of customs compliance activity to ensure Caterpillar prime and aftermarket product continuously moves both domestically and across international borders with adherence to regulatory and legislative requirements.
- Develop, test and implement new and existing reporting procedures, work processes and business metrics, for ongoing compliance with UK and EU legislation to mitigate potential penalties.
- Monitor third party performance in relation to agreed customs compliance expectations.
- Advocate an awareness of customs throughout the business through the provision of training, general support and guidance.
- Support with other ad hoc activities.

Requirements:
- A degree in a comparative business related discipline or extensive relative experience with ability to demonstrate practical standard of competence in customs compliance.
- International Trade - Level Working Knowledge: knowledge of international supply chain processes including incoterms, experience of importing and exporting procedures, an understanding of the potential impact of Brexit on a UK based business.
- Analytical Thinking - Level Working Knowledge: approaches a situation or problem by defining the problem or issue and determining its significance, uses logic and intuition to make inferences about the meaning of customs and business-related data and arrive at conclusions.
- Experience of SAP order to cash, procure to pay and record to report cycles. Familiar with Customs compliance workbooks and associated self-audit processes.

What We Offer:
- Salary: £33,108 - £35,000 per annum (depending on experience)
