Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Pharmacy Storeskeeper to join our team at The London Clinic, a leading private hospital in the UK.

About the Role
  • Purchase, store, and manage pharmacy stock, ensuring optimal inventory levels and efficient distribution.
  • Work collaboratively with other pharmacy technical staff to maintain smooth operations and high-quality patient care.
  • Process orders, returns, and procurement records, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
Key Responsibilities
  1. Unpack and receive deliveries of pharmaceuticals and supplies, conducting thorough inspections for damage or discrepancies.
  2. Manage stock rotation, expiration dates, and recalls, maintaining a safe and compliant storage environment.
  3. Book in orders, process returns, and update procurement records, utilizing the pharmacy's stock control system.
  4. Assist in resolving order discrepancies, identifying late or outstanding orders, and returning stock to suppliers when necessary.
  5. Coordinate with the distribution team to ensure timely receipt and processing of goods.
  6. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of invoices, payments, and vendor queries.
  7. Support the management of pyxis systems, ensuring optimal use of resources and minimizing waste.
  8. Develop and implement strategies to optimize inventory levels, reduce costs, and improve operational efficiency.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in a similar role, preferably in a healthcare setting.
  • Strong understanding of inventory management principles and practices.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with stock control systems and procurement software.
  • Ability to lift, move, and handle heavy objects, as required.
