Key Responsibilities and Requirements for Head of Service Role

The ideal candidate will possess at least 2+ years of experience at a senior leadership level within a local authority setting, with a proven track record of maintaining high-performing services. As a Front Door subject matter expert, you will be expected to liaise across Children's Services and provide leadership support to managers and teams.

About the Role
  • Lead the operational delivery of the Front Door, EDT, and Domestic Abuse hub, working closely with the Service Director to achieve strategic aims.
  • Maintain the quality of services safely and in alignment with Children's Social Care's strategic goals.
  • Apply a High Support/High Challenge style of leadership as a key member of the council's senior leadership team.
  • Develop and implement high-performance management strategies across statutory services, ensuring all areas of the service are working collaboratively.
