Data Labeling Specialist

The Amazon General Intelligence Data Services (AGI-DS) organization is a leading player in data processing for generative, large language AI models. As part of this cutting-edge team, you will be responsible for creating and updating instructions for data labeling to support internal customers and Operations stakeholders.
We are seeking a talented Technical Writer to join our team. Your primary focus will be on producing high-quality documentation for data processing, working closely with cross-functional teams, and engaging in customer meetings to develop content and provide feedback on tooling UI.
Estimated Salary: £60,000 - £80,000 per annum
This role offers a unique opportunity to work with a talented team of technical writers and PMs to produce data processing documentation for a fast-paced, dynamic environment. You will have the chance to build a thorough understanding of labeling conventions, contribute to process improvements, and provide quality expertise to other team members.

Job Description
- Produce high-quality guidelines to train annotators on improving and evaluating generative AI models.
- Make suggestions for updating or improving our content standards.
- Follow existing content maintenance and support mechanisms.
- Help define writing projects and determine priorities.
- Peer review other Technical Writers' work.
- Work on an exploratory project, such as an interactive tutorial, a Standard Operation Procedure (SOP), or your own great ideas.
- Lead meetings with customers, provide feedback on tooling UI.
- Support training and knowledge shares of content.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- BA degree in Technical Writing, English, Linguistics, or a related field.
- Experience developing web content and using HTML, XML, or other markup languages.
- Ability to quickly grasp technical concepts and learn in-house user-interface tools.
- 3+ years of experience in language technology or technical writing roles.
- Strong writing skills, both technical and creative.
- Native level fluency in English.
- Excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
