About the Role:
GLL is seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to join our team as an Event Assistant. As an Event Assistant, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring the smooth execution of events at our Kendal Leisure Centre.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain a positive image of the venue to customers and the public at all times
- Deliver excellent customer experience at all times
- Prepare and sell drinks and food as required
- Engage with customers to ensure customer satisfaction
- Actively contribute to the development of the service
- Assist the manager on duty in monitoring processes against set standards, including noise levels and cleanliness
- Ensure the security and maintenance of the bar area and its contents
- Prepare areas and equipment required, ensuring the area and all its facilities are kept clean and presentable at all times
- Adhere to all health and safety requirements, including procedures related to fire prevention, licenses, food, COSHH, heating, ventilation, energy management, and conservation
- Undertake cash handling and banking within stipulated financial procedures
Requirements:
- A team player with excellent communication skills
- Ability to undertake cleaning and maintenance tasks
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Cash handling experience
- Previous events experience is a bonus but not essential
- Able to work unsocial hours and flexible shift patterns, including morning shifts, evening shifts, and weekends
