IT Procurement Specialist

About the Role

We are seeking an IT Purchasing Officer to join our Technology team on a 12-month fixed term contract basis. As part of this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that IT Purchase Orders are raised and approved, goods and services are received, and orders are receipted in an accurate and timely manner.

Key Responsibilities

  • Raise purchase orders for the Technology department, ensuring they are approved and in line with our overall PO process.
  • Receipt purchase orders based on the approved goods/services receipt.
  • Maintain and update purchase order tracker (Excel-based).
  • Liaise with Accounts Payable to resolve payment queries.
  • Keep the contractual system updated with new contracts.
  • Support in the maintenance of various policies, handbooks, and frameworks.
  • Support the IT Supplier Relationship Manager function as needed with ad hoc activities.

Requirements

  • Ability to collaborate with internal teams who request and require a broad spectrum of products, services, and support.
  • Strong data entry skills with the ability to effectively maintain systems and spreadsheets.
  • Good understanding of purchasing principles and processes, with experience with purchase management software and/or automated procurement systems highly advantageous.
  • Proactive, highly motivated, and flexible individual who is methodical and organized in their approach.
