Our Environmental and Planning Team is a key part of our organization, with a presence in several of our offices across the UK. We work closely with clients and project teams to provide high-quality support and innovative solutions.
The Opportunity
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Environmental Impact Assessment Director to join our team. As a key member of our Technical Director's team, you will be responsible for managing and delivering projects, as well as supporting the development of junior team members.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage statutory and non-statutory EIAs, including client and team liaison, programme management, document review, and delegation of tasks to junior team members;
- Day-to-day management, including coordination of team workloads and budget management;
- Assist in the professional development of junior team members;
- Develop opportunities with other teams with complementary specialist skills, including ecology, landscape, air quality, noise, archaeology, heritage, engineering, waste, mining, minerals, energy, and climate change;
- Contribute to the Planning and EIA Service Area coordination.
Requirements
- Experience in the production of Environmental Statements, including the writing of non-technical aspects and review of technical aspects;
- A sound understanding of the English planning system, particularly the EIA Regulations;
- Technically proficient with excellent report writing skills;
- Demonstrable track record in business development and building client relationships;
- Undergraduate degree or higher in a relevant subject;
- A full UK driving license.
