Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and practical individual to join our team as a Geographic Facilities Assistant at Essex Police Headquarters in Chelmsford.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide general facilities duties, including minor repairs to property and furniture, maintenance, and equipment inspections.
  • Liaise with staff, officers, and external service providers to ensure seamless delivery of services.
  • Operate a Force vehicle to cover other Essex Police sites as directed by your line manager.
  • Perform logistics tasks, including lifting and moving bulky/heavy items with the use of aids where necessary.
  • Administer work through various channels, including bespoke computer programs, and utilize office applications such as MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Requirements
  • Experience in practical maintenance and general repairs.
  • Knowledge of Health and Safety and manual handling techniques in the workplace.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of IT and MS office applications.
  • Hold a full UK driving license.
  • Flexibility in core working hours and geographical location.
Desirable Skills
  • Customer service experience.
What We Offer

Essex Police offers incremental increases within this salary band, resulting in a maximum salary of £24,462.00.
