About the Role:

GSL Education is seeking a dedicated and experienced Teaching Assistant to support pupils with SEMH in a supportive school located in Cosham. As a SEMH Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers, educational psychologists, and other professionals to provide individualized support to students with challenging behaviours.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1, 2:1, and group support to pupils with SEMH
  • Liaise with teachers and other professionals to develop and implement individualized support plans
  • Assist with lesson planning and delivery to ensure pupils with SEMH receive the support they need
  • Monitor and report on pupil progress to teachers and other professionals

Requirements:

  • Experience working with pupils with SEMH or similar
  • Strong knowledge of safeguarding and child protection
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and build strong relationships with pupils, teachers, and other professionals
  • DBS registered to the update service or willingness to apply for one
