Main Responsibilities- Provide high-quality obstetric care to patients, including managing Labour Ward, Antenatal clinics, Section Lists, and Maternity Assessment Unit.
- Collaborate with existing consultants and the multi-disciplinary team to ensure seamless care delivery.
- Participate in trust leadership programmes and support the Safeguarding team.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of clinical policies and procedures.
- Provide continuing responsibility for patients in their charge and work within a team-based structure to support care across both hospital sites.
University Hospitals of North Midlands has two sites: Royal Stoke University Hospital and County Hospital. We provide a full range of general acute hospital services for people living in and around Staffordshire and beyond. Our specialised services include cancer diagnosis and treatment, cardiothoracic surgery, neurosurgery, renal and dialysis services, neonatal intensive care, and paediatric intensive care.
Person Specification- Full GMC Registration.
- MRCOG or appropriate specialist qualification.
- CCT or equivalent ('equivalence' CESR must be confirmed by PMETB/GMC by date of AAC).
- Entry onto the GMC Specialist Register or eligibility for entry via CCT within 6 months of date of the AAC.
- ATSM - Advanced Labour Ward / High risk antenatal.
- ATSM - Maternal Medicine with interest for Perinatal Mental Health or equivalent.
- Safeguarding Level 3 or above.
