A highly skilled and experienced housekeeper is sought for a prestigious country estate near Banbury in North Oxfordshire. This is a part-time weekend residence with occasional use during the summer.
The estate features a large manor home with 9 bedrooms, 3 reception rooms, a separate outdoor pool, pool house, and tennis court. The household style is informal but done to a very high standard.
Key Responsibilities:- On-duty weekends when owners are in residence, including evenings as late as needed for duties such as turning down beds, cleaning, tidying, laundry, fire setting, washing up, shopping, and light household admin.
- Cooking to a good dinner party standard, as well as assisting with food prep, drinks pouring, food serving, and other hospitality-related duties.
- Driving is essential due to the location of the role, as well as occasional driving to the train station or airport for pickups and drop-offs of guests if needed.
- Traveling out a day or two ahead of the couple's arrival to prepare the chalet, looking after the party during residence, and staying a day or two later to clean up and close up.
- Caring for the couple's dogs, which will need walking and attention.
- High-calibre candidate with experience in housekeeping and hospitality.
- Self-starting and respectful individual with flexibility.
- Ability to work 5 days per week, including weekends, up to 40-45 hours per week.
- Negotiable salary around 45-50k gross per annum depending on experience.
- Accommodation provided in a 2-bed apartment in the stable block adjacent to the main house.
Shared use of an estate car for work purposes. Role to commence once the right candidate is found.
