Accounting Leadership Manager

RSM UK is a leading provider of audit, tax, and consulting services to businesses across the UK. Our AFR team is dedicated to helping clients navigate complex financial reporting requirements and ensuring compliance with UK GAAP.

The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in accounting and financial reporting, with at least three years of PQE experience and a proven track record of managing client relationships.

The salary for this role is £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a portfolio of clients, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality services.
  • Provide technical support to AFR Directors and Partners, as well as advice to clients and other departments.
  • Develop and maintain an advanced level of technical knowledge through ongoing training and professional development.
  • Liaise with clients throughout the year, practicing excellent client service at all times.
  • Closely monitor practice management system reports to ensure profitable recoverability of work in progress and timely billing.
  • Develop a detailed knowledge of the firm's specialist services, actively looking for opportunities to cross-sell and undertake special work in response to client needs.

Requirements:

  • ACA/ACCA fully qualified, with at least three years PQE and one year experience of managing a full portfolio of clients.
  • Strong technical skills, including in-depth understanding of UK financial reporting requirements.
  • Well-developed people skills to relate to clients and colleagues.
  • Good organisational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
