Project Management Role
We are seeking a skilled Graduate Quantity Surveyor to join our team at Farrans Construction. As a key member of our project management team, you will work closely with senior experts to optimise project costs and risks, ensuring top-notch quality and compliance with building regulations.

With over 80 years of industry excellence, Farrans Construction boasts more than 45 active site locations and offices across Ireland, Scotland, and England. We take on projects ranging from £5m to £300m, spanning both construction and civil markets.

The salary for this position is £32,000 - £42,000 per annum, depending on experience. In addition to a competitive base salary, we offer a wide range of benefits, including car allowance, payment of an annual professional membership, contributory pensions plan, health shield, and 34 days annual leave (inclusive of bank holidays).

Key Responsibilities
As a Graduate Quantity Surveyor at Farrans Construction, your duties will include:
  • Managing project finances and ensuring compliance with budget and programme.
  • Analysing subcontract quotations and reviewing conditions and/or qualifications.
  • Drafting and negotiating contract types prior to submission of a tender and preparing interim applications.
  • Evaluating, measuring, and recovering contract variations and gathering records to confirm additional payments.
  • Defending claims received from subcontractors, reviewing, assessing, and reducing commercial and contractual risks.
  • Assisting with the procurement of subcontractors and being responsible for effective dispute resolution.
