**Job Summary**


We're seeking a highly skilled Senior Railway Engineer to join our team at Siemens Mobility. As a key member of our Rolling Stock business, you'll play a critical role in ensuring the safe, reliable, and cost-effective operation of our fleet.



  • Develop engineering solutions to address technical issues and optimize fleet performance.
  • Collaborate with the Performance Team and customers to identify and resolve safety, reliability, and maintainability issues.
  • Generate solutions for technical issues and customer variation enquiries.
  • Contribute to the development of engineering change control documentation and vehicle maintenance instructions.
  • Liaise with production teams and suppliers to ensure seamless knowledge transfer and technical briefs.
  • Provide technical coaching and support to other team members.
  • Assist in Safety Related Defect investigations and engineering investigations.
  • Support fleet reliability improvement planning and implementation.

**Requirements**



  • HNC/HND Qualification in electrical engineering or equivalent.
  • Substantial experience in the Railway/Rolling Stock industry, with a strong understanding of railway maintenance techniques and procedures.
  • Excellent knowledge of IT systems, software, and mechanical/electrical drawings.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Passion for delivering high-quality work and building key relationships.
