Forseven is seeking an exceptional Lead Project Engineer to join our dynamic Engineering team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering a closure system across one or more platforms, leading the technical direction and ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ownership of relevant function group.
  • Define the requirements for systems function and integration.
  • Manage interface with Styling.
  • Engineering responsibility (including design and release) of one of the vehicle closure systems: Bonnet System, Doors System, Tailgate System.
  • Design for manufacture and assembly for responsible components, ensuring responsible designs meet legal compliance.
  • Work Package Management.
  • Design Sizing Analysis: Sub system loads, Joints and interfaces, Materials selection, Bolt calculations.
  • Assembly level simulation, cost, timing and mass.
  • Mentor and support professional development of all colleagues, particularly junior staff.
Requirements
  • Previous experience within Automotive closures.
  • Significant and proven closures experience, knowledge and experience.
  • A 'can do' attitude and are always focused on achieving great results.
  • Ability to work with multiple stakeholders & drive towards a common goal.
  • A calm multitasker who successfully managed, prioritise and executes against deadlines in a rapidly changing environment.
