Job Summary

We are looking for a Support Worker to cover maternity leave in our Supported Living Project in County Durham. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting customers with a wide range of needs and aspirations, promoting independence and encouraging them to reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support customers with daily living tasks, such as personal care, meal preparation, and household chores
  • Encourage and facilitate social activities, outings, and events to promote social inclusion and community engagement
  • Work collaboratively with the customer's support network, including family members, carers, and other professionals
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of individualized support plans, ensuring that customers' needs are met and their goals are achieved
  • Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge

Requirements

  • Level 2 or Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work flexibly, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays
  • Commitment to promoting independence, choice, and control for individuals with learning disabilities
