About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced safeguarding professional to take on a senior leadership role at Protocol National Limited. As the Senior Safeguarding Lead, you will play a pivotal part in ensuring the safety and well-being of our students.

You will work closely with the Head of Student Wellbeing and Engagement, overseeing the safeguarding team and wider rota, providing guidance, support, and supervision. Your expertise will be instrumental in strengthening our existing arrangements for supporting vulnerable students.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Leadership and Supervision: Deputise for the Head of Student Wellbeing and Engagement, overseeing the safeguarding team and wider rota, providing guidance, support, and supervision.
  • Workload Management: Assist in workload allocation, prioritization, and planning, ensuring efficient case management and accurate recording.
  • First Response Function: Act as the initial point of contact for safeguarding referrals, providing immediate support and guidance.
  • External Liaison: Represent the College at external safeguarding meetings and liaise with schools and other agencies.
  • Capacity Building: Contribute to the training and development of the safeguarding team, enhancing their skills, knowledge, and confidence.
Requirements:
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent experience/relevant qualifications.
  • Safeguarding related qualification at Level 3 or above.
  • Mental Health and or Suicide Training.
  • Prevent trained.
