About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Contracts Manager to join our Construction team at British Solar Renewables. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading a collaborative team and managing multiple projects to ensure successful delivery on budget and on schedule.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the successful delivery of projects, ensuring quality assurance and health and safety standards are maintained.
  • Foster a supportive and dynamic work environment, encouraging the professional development of team members.
  • Manage project budgets, cost plans, and construction schedules in collaboration with the Quantity Surveyor.
  • Negotiate and establish contracts for project delivery, ensuring targets for programme and budget are met.
  • Monitor project costs and ensure robust cost control.
  • Attend site and contractor meetings to ensure progress is aligned with project goals.
  • Manage variations and change control with the Cost Management team.
Requirements
  • Experience building relationships with diverse stakeholders and presenting project updates.
  • Experience on electrical projects is an advantage.
  • Strong communication skills and proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Project is desirable (training can be provided).
  • Experience managing large-scale construction or infrastructure projects.
  • HND or degree qualification in construction, or equivalent experience.
  • A British driving licence is essential.
