What is a Business Analyst?

A Business Analyst is a problem solver who investigates issues or areas of weakness within an organisation or business, analyses solutions, and helps facilitate the change needed. They follow a set of guidelines and principles set out within the BCS Business Analysis Diploma certification.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Analysing elements within the business or the whole business.
  2. Making evaluations of all available data.
  3. Identifying problems and looking at potential improvements.
  4. Conducting feasibility studies on proposed improvements.
  5. Presenting acquired information within a business case to the company or organisation.
  6. Implementing agreed or necessary changes to increase the efficiency of the organisation or business.
