Optical Practice Manager

Health Care Personnel is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Optical Manager to join their team. As a key member of the management team, you will be responsible for leading the optical department and driving business growth.
Main Responsibilities- Practice Efficiency: Ensure the optical department operates efficiently and effectively, meeting organizational procedures and standards.
- Customer Satisfaction: Deliver exceptional customer service, ensuring total satisfaction with products and services.
- Leadership: Motivate, support, train, and develop staff to achieve their full potential.
- Business Growth: Realize the full potential of the practice, achieving patient numbers and sales targets.
- Profitability: Drive maximum profitability, ensuring the optical department contributes to the overall success of the company.
- Quality Control: Maintain exceptional standards of quality control in all areas, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Stock Control: Manage stock levels effectively, minimizing waste and optimizing inventory.
- Cleanliness and Presentation: Maintain a clean and well-presented practice, reflecting positively on the company's image.
- Health and Safety: Ensure the practice meets health and safety standards, protecting staff and customers.
- Marketing: Collaborate with the marketing department to maximize marketing effectiveness at a local level.
- Cost Efficiency: Drive cost efficiencies, minimizing expenses and optimizing resources.
- Dispensing: Dispense spectacles to prescriptions, ensuring accuracy and quality.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that the sale and supply of spectacles and contact lenses only takes place under the supervision of a registered optician for children under the age of 16 years and those who are registered sight impaired (partially sighted) or severely sight impaired (blind).
- Management Experience: Previous management experience is desirable, or a proven track record of developing and supporting staff.
- Customer Service: Strong background in customer service, with a focus on delivering exceptional experiences.
- Business Performance: Experience of driving business performance, including sales, customer satisfaction, and cost efficiencies.
- Leadership: Strong leader, able to motivate and engage with staff at all levels.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to put the customer first and act in a professional manner.
- Flexibility: Ability to be flexible on days worked and provide cover to other practices.
- Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail, with a focus on quality and accuracy.
