About the Role

The Senior Site Manager will be responsible for overseeing the construction of a new development near Didcot, working closely with the project team to ensure the build programme is executed smoothly. This involves coordinating sub-contractors and suppliers, scheduling utilities, and maintaining excellent relationships with stakeholders.

">Key Responsibilities

  2. Ensure timely delivery of materials by coordinating sub-contractors and suppliers.">
  3. Schedule utilities, including local authorities and warranty providers, to prevent delays.">
  4. Monitor construction performance, identifying areas for improvement and mitigating risks.">
  5. Build strong relationships with contractors and design teams, addressing any issues promptly and effectively.">
  6. Ensure build programming is accurately planned and executed, including plot sequencing.">
  7. Manage multiple sub-contractors on sites, ensuring high-quality workmanship and adherence to health and safety protocols.">
  8. Hold regular progress meetings with contractors, providing clear guidance and support.">
  9. Coordinate meetings with partners, authorities, utilities, contractors, and suppliers as required.">
  10. Work closely with professional bodies like warranty and building control, inspectors, sub-contractors, and suppliers, resolving any issues efficiently.">
  11. Proactively identify and mitigate risks, ensuring the project remains on track.">
  12. Distribute fortnightly programmes to sub-contractors.">
  13. Develop and manage traffic management plans to minimize disruptions.">
  14. Effectively manage contractors, ensuring high-quality construction standards are consistently met.">

  2. Hold SMSTS qualification.">
  3. Be certified in First Aid at Work.">
  4. Possess a relevant construction qualification.">
  5. Have completed Scaffold Awareness training.">
  6. Hold a full UK driving licence.">
  7. Have a CSCS card (Black Card), although this is not essential.">

Salary: £55,000 - £70,000 per annum
