Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Pharmacist to join our team at Hunter AHP. As a Band 6/7 Locum Pharmacist, you will play a crucial role in covering wards and assisting dispensary teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Medicines Reconciliation and Drug Chat Screening: Conduct thorough medicines reconciliation and drug chat screening to ensure patient safety and optimal treatment outcomes.
- Offering Advice to Patients: Provide expert advice to patients on the wards, addressing their medication-related queries and concerns.
- Screening in the Dispensary: Conduct screening in the dispensary, inpatients, and outpatients to ensure accurate and timely medication dispensing.
- Supporting ATOs and Pharm Techs: Assist ATOs and Pharm Techs with checking and verifying medication orders and dispensing.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Current Registration: Hold current and valid registration with the GPHC as a Pharmacist.
- Previous Hospital Experience: Possess previous hospital experience, preferably in a similar role.
- Strong Communication Skills: Demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, healthcare professionals, and other stakeholders.
- Ability to Work Independently: Show ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team to achieve patient-centered care.
