Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Clinical Pharmacist to join our team in the Virtual Hospital, West Essex. As a Clinical Pharmacist Specialist, you will provide specialist clinical pharmacy input to the Virtual Hospital/Hospital @ Home MDT, supporting the medicines-related care of patients and contributing to the development of medicines management services.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical pharmacy and medicines management advice to maximise benefit and minimise risk in relation to medicines.
  • Contribute to the organisation and management of the clinical pharmacy service to the Virtual Hospital.
  • Participate as an active member of the Virtual Hospital and support the safe and effective use of medicines.
  • Support and participate in clinical audit.

This is an exciting opportunity to shape services that will improve the experience of healthcare for the local population and deliver an NHS national priority. As a Clinical Pharmacist Specialist, you will have the opportunity to work with a multidisciplinary team, providing clinical pharmacy and medicines management advice to patients and healthcare professionals.

Requirements
  • Master's degree in Pharmacy or equivalent.
  • General Pharmaceutical Council registration.
  • PG certificate/diploma or equivalent experience. Willing to work towards independent prescriber status.
