Job Summary

We are seeking a qualified pharmacist with excellent clinical and communication skills to join our pharmacy team as a Band 7 clinical pharmacist. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years post-registration experience, have completed or be completing a postgraduate clinical pharmacy qualification, and possess well-developed clinical pharmacy skills.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical pharmacy services, enhancing the pharmaceutical care of patients, supporting the provision and development of medicines management services, and participating in training, education, and audit.
  • Contribute to the organisation and management of the clinical pharmacy service to specific wards/units/clinical teams.
  • Provide clinical pharmacy and medicines management advice to maximise benefit and minimise risk in relation to medicines.
  • Support and participate in clinical audit.
About the Role

The post-holder will be supported to develop their clinical skills through funded postgraduate study, and to develop their management skills. The department provides support to care of the elderly and rehabilitation beds at locations in West Essex and patients can be complex requiring infusions, oxygen, and basic ventilation.

Requirements
  • Master's degree in Pharmacy or equivalent.
  • General Pharmaceutical Council registration.
  • PG certificate/diploma or equivalent experience. Willing to work towards.
  • Independent prescriber/studying or willing to work towards.
