Job Title: Senior Occupational Therapist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Occupational Therapist to join our Trauma and Orthopaedics team at Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust. As a key member of the multidisciplinary team, you will provide high-quality occupational therapy services to patients with complex needs, ensuring excellent patient outcomes and experience.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Provide occupational therapy assessments, interventions, and discharge planning for patients with trauma and orthopaedic conditions
  • Supervise and mentor junior staff members, promoting their professional development and expertise
  • Liaise with senior occupational therapists, clinical specialists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless service delivery
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the development of best practices and evidence-based care

Requirements:

  • Degree in Occupational Therapy and active HCPC registration
  • Experience in trauma and orthopaedics, with a strong understanding of assessment and treatment protocols
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to travel and work across a 7-day pattern, including bank holidays and flexible core service hours
