About the Role

We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Cleaner to join our team at BAM FM, based out of the Tudor Grange Kingshurst Academy. As a key member of our facilities team, you will play a vital role in maintaining a clean and safe environment for our staff and visitors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Cleaning in accordance with the specification for the premises.
  • Cleaning all surfaces, fixtures, and fittings.
  • Cleaning floors, walls, partitions, and internal woodwork as appropriate.
  • Cleaning kitchen/catering areas.
  • Cleaning toilets, changing rooms, and other sanitary areas.
  • Cleaning equipment after use.
  • Undertaking special cleaning programs during designated periods.
  • Collecting and disposing of waste.
  • Cleaning and maintaining waste bins.
  • Creating and maintaining a purposeful, orderly, and productive working environment.
  • Maintaining records as requested.
  • Refilling and replacing consumables.
  • Reporting faulty equipment and other maintenance requirements to the appropriate person.
  • Maintaining the security of premises by securing entrances/exits as appropriate and reporting potential security breaches.
  • Ensuring lights and other equipment are switched off as appropriate.
  • Promoting and ensuring the health and safety of staff and visitors at all times.
  • Monitoring and managing stock and supplies, cataloging as required.
  • Maintenance of specialist equipment, checking for quality/safety, and reporting other damages/needs.
  • Ensuring compliance by self and others with all health and safety policies and COSHH procedures.
  • Demonstrating and assisting others in safe and effective use of specialist equipment/materials.
