Service Development

As a Service Manager at FitzRoy, you will be responsible for ensuring person-centred approaches are in place to deliver the outcomes the people we support want. This includes developing activities and plans that truly transform the lives of the people we support according to their needs, wishes, and aspirations.

You will engage with the local community and promote the involvement of the people we support and FitzRoy's profile. Regular audits for quality, compliance, and business performance will be completed in line with FitzRoy requirements, and progress will be reported on, creating effective action plans for improvement where needed.

Annual business plans will be created and reviewed, and action will be taken to meet agreed performance indicators. A safe working environment will be provided for the people we support, staff members, and visitors.

Team and Resource Management

You will recruit, develop, and motivate staff members and volunteers to meet the needs of the people we support. This includes ensuring team members are performance managed effectively, giving clear expectations for standards.

Staff members will be identified with areas of key responsibilities that develop their roles, add value to the service for the people we support, and engage them fully as members of the FitzRoy team. Rotas will be effectively managed to utilise resources efficiently to meet the needs of the people we support.

You will be accountable for the financial performance of your location and for the financial plans for the people you support. All records and reports will be completed in an accurate and timely way, and administrative processes will be adhered to.

Communication Excellence

You will ensure opportunities arise for the people you support to have a voice in their service, FitzRoy, and the wider community in as many ways as possible. The meaningful, active involvement of the people we support in the continuation of quality services will be promoted.

Equal opportunities, cultural diversity, and the rights of people will be promoted, and everyone will be treated with respect and dignity. Effective communications will be established and maintained with the people we support, their families, the local community, and local professional networks.

Internal communications will be positively managed to ensure staff members, volunteers, the people we support, and family members are aware of key decisions and keep the organisation informed through the line management structure.

A strong customer focus will be maintained through continuous improvement.

Requirements

NVQ/Diploma Level 3 in Health and Social Care or any equivalent qualifications in the appropriate field are required. Experience of managing Learning Disability Support Services is essential.

A passion for leading positive change, a resilient, resourceful, and solutions-focused attitude, and a commitment to transforming lives and promoting the rights of people with disabilities are necessary.

A driver's licence and vehicle are essential, with mileage paid. Experience of supporting people who have complex support needs and leading on risk assessment and risk management for people with complex support needs are also required.
