About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pastry Chef de Partie to join our team at The Langham, London. As a Pastry Chef de Partie, you will be responsible for leading a section of the pastry kitchen and ensuring the highest standards of quality and service are maintained at all times.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and serve high-quality pastries, desserts, and afternoon tea items to the hotel's guests.
  • Lead a team of junior chefs and provide guidance and support to ensure the smooth operation of the pastry kitchen.
  • Ensure that all kitchen areas, equipment, and utensils are kept clean and tidy to the highest standards.
  • Follow recipes and specifications to ensure consistency of pastry and dessert items.
  • Set up mise-en-place and ensure that all necessary ingredients and supplies are available.
Requirements
  • Previous experience as a Pastry Chef de Partie in a 5-star luxury hotel with a medium to large banqueting and afternoon tea offering.
  • Knowledge of chocolate work and an understanding of afternoon tea operations.
  • Ability to supervise and motivate a team of junior chefs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and service.
