Senior Marine Surveyor

We are seeking an experienced Senior Marine Surveyor to join our team at Lloyd's Register. As a key member of our Marine and Offshore business, you will be responsible for performing surveys on new construction projects, in-service vessels, and marine equipment and components at manufacturers' works, in accordance with Lloyd's Register Rules and Regulations and other applicable national and international standards.
You will work closely with internal and external clients to discuss and present deliverables, suggesting solutions where appropriate. Your role will also involve conducting activities in line with internal procedures, accreditation schemes, legislation, and industry standards.
We are looking for a self-starter who can support our existing Liverpool team and help us realize the potential growth for LR in our area. You will have a degree or equivalent from a recognized organization within the relevant field of engineering or physical science, or qualifications from a marine or nautical institution, and relevant sea-going experience.
As a Senior Marine Surveyor, you will be responsible for:
- Performing surveys on new construction projects, in-service vessels, and marine equipment and components at manufacturers' works
- Discussing and presenting deliverables with internal and external clients
- Conducting activities in line with internal procedures, accreditation schemes, legislation, and industry standards
- Pursuing Continuous Professional Development and maintaining a high degree of discipline, knowledge, and awareness
- Undertaking routine administration as required
