About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and driven Senior Marine Surveyor to join our team at Lloyd's Register. As a key member of our Marine and Offshore business, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and compliance of our clients' assets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Performing surveys on new construction projects, in-service vessels, and marine equipment and components at manufacturers' works, in accordance with Lloyd's Register Rules and Regulations and other applicable national and international standards.
  • Discussing and presenting deliverables with internal and external clients, and suggesting solutions where appropriate.
  • Conducting activities in line with internal procedures, accreditation schemes, legislation, and industry standards.
  • Pursuing Continuous Professional Development and maintaining a high degree of discipline, knowledge, and awareness.
  • Undertaking routine administration as required in line with current processes and procedures.

Requirements

  • A degree or equivalent from a recognized organization within the relevant field of engineering or physical science, or qualifications from a marine or nautical institution, and relevant sea-going experience.
  • Membership of an appropriate professional institution or working towards or achieving charted or incorporated engineering status.
  • Ability to work in accordance with professional codes of conduct and the LR Code of Ethics.
  • Proficiency in the English language commensurate with the work.
