Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Social Worker to join our Children and Families Hub team in Colchester. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in delivering excellent social work practice, providing advice to professionals with safeguarding concerns for children and undertaking triage to establish the need for ongoing support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality social work services to children and families, promoting their emotional wellbeing and protecting them from harm.
  • Work collaboratively with parents and professionals to identify the lowest appropriate level of support needed.

Requirements:

  • Diploma or degree in Social Work (CQSW, CSS, or equivalent).
  • Registration with Social Work England as a registered Social Worker.
  • Demonstrable capability to practice in accordance with current professional standards (PCF, KSS).
  • Ability to use emotional intelligence, analytical skills, and confidence in challenging social situations.
  • Good working knowledge of information technology and related systems.
