We are seeking a skilled Battery Technology Specialist to join our Power Centre of Excellence team in Southampton.
Job Summary
- Develop and verify battery technologies for our New Category device portfolio.
- Analyse and report test results to inform battery design and validation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate battery technologies into our products.
- Support the development of new technical solutions for future products.
- Conduct failure analysis to ensure battery optimal performance and reliability.
Responsibilities
- Design and execute test protocols for battery verification and validation.
- Characterise battery performance using various testing methods.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation for battery test results.
- Collaborate with battery manufacturers to align data and specifications.
- Support the specification of battery requirements from project briefs.
- Analyse and report results in the designated format.
Requirements
- Minimum Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as materials science, chemistry, or physics.
- Experience in battery testing and validation activities.
- Knowledge of battery test equipment and materials characterisation techniques.
- Ability to follow test protocols and report technical results in a clear and concise format.
- Knowledge of consumer electronic device validation and product safety requirements.
