Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Bar Staff member to join our team at Shoulder of Mutton. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our guests and contributing to a welcoming atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Drink Preparation and Service: Prepare and serve a variety of beverages, including alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, to our guests.
  2. Food Service and Hospitality: Wait on tables with food, providing a high level of service and ensuring our guests have a memorable experience.
  3. Bar Maintenance and Organisation: Maintain a clean and organised bar area, ensuring all equipment is properly cleaned and stored.
  4. Customer Interaction: Engage with customers in a friendly manner, taking orders and providing recommendations based on their preferences.
  5. Monitoring and Assistance: Monitor customer needs and provide assistance as required to enhance their experience.
  6. Food Safety and Responsible Service: Adhere to food safety regulations and responsible service of alcohol guidelines at all times.
  7. Cash Handling and Operations: Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently, demonstrating basic maths skills for processing payments.
  8. Team Collaboration: Collaborate with other staff members to ensure smooth operations during busy periods.

Requirements and Qualifications

  1. Previous Experience: Previous experience in bartending or hospitality is preferred but not essential; training will be provided.
  2. Time Management and Organisation: Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  3. Food Safety and Knowledge: Knowledge of food safety practices is advantageous.
  4. Excellent Communication and Teamwork: Excellent communication skills with a focus on customer service, and the ability to work well within a team.
  5. Positive Attitude and Adaptability: A positive attitude and willingness to help others contribute to a pleasant atmosphere for both staff and guests.

Working Arrangements

  • Part-time position with a competitive hourly rate.
  • Flexitime arrangement to accommodate your needs.
  • Weekend and evening availability required.
